About Emma Stinson, MA, LCPC, NCC, PMH-C
Hi, I’m Emma, a counselor, mother, wife, daughter, sister, and advocate for women’s mental health.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, professional licenses in both Michigan and Illinois, National Counselor Certification, and am Certified in Perinatal Mental Health. My background includes work in both private practice and outpatient care, shaping a therapeutic style that is compassionate, intentional, and effective.
After welcoming my first child in 2023, I gained a deeper understanding of how complex and emotionally layered pregnancy, birth, and the transition to motherhood can be. That experience revealed how these seasons can hold profound joy while also bringing moments that feel overwhelming, isolating, or even traumatic. It strengthened my commitment to providing a supportive, trauma-informed space for women navigating these deeply personal transitions.
I have advanced training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders from Postpartum Support International and am a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. I am a Brainspotting practitioner- a brain and body based therapeutic modality for trauma treatment. I also have training in Mindfulness Based Self-Compassion, CBT, and Gottman Relationship Theory. By combining evidence-based interventions with a warm, attuned presence, I aim to provide a high-quality therapeutic experience that helps women feel seen, supported, and strengthened through every stage of life.
I would be honored to walk alongside you as you heal - offering steady support, compassion, and evidence based guidance every step of the way. Please feel free to reach out to if you would like to learn more.
